Exinda Networks Appoints New Vice President for EMEA

Appointment Reflects EMEA’s Growing Demand for Exinda’s Unified Performance Management Platforms

─ Exinda Networks, the only provider of Unified Performance Management (UPM) solutions worldwide, today announced the appointment of Rainer M. Richter as vice president of sales for Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA). In this role, Richter will be responsible for building Exinda’s EMEA operations, the distributor and reseller channel as well as the WAN Acceleration Services Provider (WASP) partner base with telcos throughout the region. Richter has a rapidly expanding partner and customer base to grow and maintain in addition to implementing Exinda’s Partner Program 2007 within existing and new channel partner relationships.

According to IDC’s Worldwide WAN Delivery Forecast and Analysis report, Europe accounted for 26.8 percent of the overall worldwide revenue for WAN optimization and application acceleration in 2005. IDC estimates that the worldwide revenue for WAN delivery revenue will reach US Dollars $750 million with a compounded annual growth rate of 9.3 percent in 2007.

Prior to joining Exinda, Richter was vice president of EMEA for ForeScout Technologies, a supplier of client-less network access control (NAC) and intrusion prevention solutions. Richter also served as the general manager for Nokia’s Enterprise Solutions Group introducing new technologies to the EMEA and APAC markets. He also expanded Nokia’s business into continental Europe in the network security, appliance, VPN-connectivity and mobility segments. Prior to his employment at Nokia, Richter worked for Ipsilon Networks as general manager of Central & Eastern Europe and at ADIVA Computertechnologie, a leading value-added distributor specializing in networking telecommunications in Germany. At the start of his career, Richter was one of the founding employees at Artaker Computersysteme and Teamworks Computer Software Engineering in Vienna, Austria.

Richter studied engineering with a specialization in telecommunications, micro-electronics and high frequency technologies at HTL Mödling. Later he also developed skills in international marketing and management at Vienna University of Economics.
