Exinda Networks Appoints New Regional Sales Manager For Mexico, Central and South Americas

Key Business Drivers Speed the Adoption of WAN Optimization and Application Acceleration Technology

São Paulo, Brazil ─ Exinda Networks, a leading provider of Unified Performance Management (UPM) solutions worldwide, today announced the appointment of Cairo de Padua Ferreira as regional sales manager for Mexico, Central America and South America. Ferreira will be responsible for building and growing Exinda's regional distributor and reseller channel.

According to IDC's Worldwide WAN Delivery Forecast and Analysis report, worldwide revenue for WAN delivery revenue will reach US Dollars $750 million with a compounded annual growth rate of 9.3 percent in 2007. Some key business drivers for the adoption of WAN optimization and application acceleration technology include the deployment of VOIP networks, data center and server consolidation projects and migration to MPLS networks.

"Ferreira brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in both the WAN optimization market and distribution channels," said Jim Christie, Exinda's vice president of worldwide sales. Prior to joining Exinda, Ferreira was regional sales manager for Converged Access. While at Converged Access and earlier in his career at Network Appliances, he succeeded at starting and growing the Latin American operations. Other achievements include tripling annual sales revenue at Network Appliances and capturing the largest market share in Latin America for Converged Access.

Ferreira's earned a B.S. degree in Computer Science and Systems Engineering from the University of Campinas in Brazil. He also earned his certification in Systems Engineering from the Institute of Computer Science in Tokyo.
